The thing to remember is that China is our largest trade partner and we as a country realized all of this during the slow down of COVID’s effects on our economy and our supply chain. If we haven’t learned anything from this… we should diversify and have more countries as trading partners. Our and I believe more so to establish our own manufacturing. This is why the focus going foreword for many reasons is falling on China and is looking to other countries like India to make up the difference. India will eventually replace China as our main trade partner.
The thing to remember is that in my earlier years before China everything was made in Japan. Japan was our international trade leader and they were buying everything inside our country. As their country developed and cost of labor went up China became a lower cost trade partner and has taken over the majority on prices.
Does anyone know who might have a higher population and cheaper labor than China? Could it be India? Yes… the new maker of the iPhone is now in India. Apple pulled out of China completely and is moving total operations to India. There could be a pattern happening with this big move. Keep your eyes open and see the transition happening.
