I notice that Zion did increase a bit after this podcast was posted. I assume that it may increase a few cents based on the optimism of the podcast. However I think there is still quite a bit of time before we really find the results of all this.
Here are my attempts to connect the dots on when we might find out the results. The podcast states that it will take 2 weeks or so to move the platform. That effort has not yet started. They felt that the actual drilling would take "a couple of months". Obviously that has not yet started. My experience is that if it takes "a couple of months" then we can translate that it will take "a few or more months." (i.e. 2 or more months). They did not say how quickly they would take to remove the plug to MJ1 and begin drilling once platform is in place. Furthermore, they mentioned there are several areas to perforate once they are at depth. They did not mention if these other areas are included in the "a couple of months" of drilling. I assume that is an additional effort.
So just a very crude schedule as I heard it: A question mark simply means a SWAG on my part. No question mark means that I am trying to infer from the information on the podcast.
A. 2-3 weeks? Begin effort to move platform
B. 1-2 weeks? Unplug MJ1 bore hole (I am not clear if this is performed before or after the platform is moved)
C 2-4 weeks Move platform
D 8-16 weeks to get to MJ1 depth
E. 4-6?? weeks to perforate other areas of interest
F. 8-10? weeks of analysis (seems to be in-line with their past analysis activities)
So I am thinking it will be 25 - 41 weeks which is equal to 6-10 months before we have an official result of this effort. That means roughly the Sept/October 2023 to Jan/Feb 2024.timeframe.
I found it fascinating that the previous effort at MJ1 had oil reaching the surface of the bore hole. Wow! Also, they mention that MJ1 bore hole is approximately 7 meters from the MJ2 bore hole.
