But, but, 'mental health'. OK, mental health IS a problem as reading some of the posts on this board reveals. Some might call the condition a 'red flag'. TN has no such law on the books.

Why allow easy availability of firearms to the PROBLEM.

It was not a slippery slope to gun confiscation when the ban on assault weapons was on the books for 10 years, so scratch that lame argument.

I've seen no proposals to take assault weapons away from owners. Lame arguments to that effect assure that mass shootings using these weapons will continue notwithstanding, apparently ineffective, thoughts and prayers.

The TN shooter legally purchased the assault weapons used.

Trumpanzee apologists for assault weapon availability use your limited imaginations to picture the following descriptions applied to schoolchildren's bodies.

The Simple Physics That Makes Some Bullets Deadlier Than Others
How higher speed, greater mass, and more surface area increase the damage that rounds can do to human bodies.

Developed in the early 1960s, the .223 round was first used in Vietnam. The U.S. military collected reports of its effects on the first Viet Cong combatants to be shot with the bullet. Here’s what they found it did to those enemies’ bodies, as republished in New York Times reporter C.J. Chivers’s history of the assault rifle, The Gun:
