Time to get out of Dodge too!
In the end they'll have us all in stocks and bonds, the ones made out of wood and iron, that's always been the plan.

The black s3xual perv destroyed about 100 years of contract law to reward political allies.
No one really cared.
And it will happen over and over now.
14 years ago, the Obama administration (or rather his Wall Street lackey Steve Ratner) turned the bankruptcy process on its head with the Chapter 11 filing of General Motors, which steamrolled the bankruptcy liquidation waterfall by paying off the underfunded (and unsecured) pension plans of GM and Chrysler union workers at 40 cents on the dollar, which cramming down secured creditors, forcing them to accept 29 cents on the dollar.

Don't forget the genius also stole, then gave, GM's Fremont Plant to red-pilled Public Enemy #2 Elon Musk, and after kicking the UAW out for him first.

To this day I avoid O'bummer motors. Will never buy one and try not to even ride in one. Hope Ford stays strong though Honda is my favorite.

Ford was dirtbag too, playing both sides in ww2 selling vehicles, engines, etc to both sides so he could get rich while others killed each other and promoted it.

I will never forgive Ford, Henry Ford III, and the Ford Foundation for giving $100 Million to the BLM marxists.
If I need a new truck, I'll be buying Dodge from the Italians.

I had the same conflict/confusion on the "Ford Foundation", until I read the The Populist Delusion by Neema Parvini. It gives great insight how something that has the name of the man who published the Dearborn Independent, ended up funding BLM/etc. Highly suggested read.

That is the current Ford family, Henry knew and fought what was going on. Has anyone ever read his book 's about the little hats?

I am neither conflicted nor confused. Henry Ford is long dead and buried. Read Brave New World, by Aldous Huxley. It gives great insight how the man who published the Dearborn Independent can be made out to be some immortal God.

The Ford Foundation was Henry’s punishment for being j-woke.

Seen the prices of a Ram 2500 Cummings? You need a bank loan from UBS to afford to mortgage them with 30 year terms

Henry Ford (original) not a big fan of Marxists as I recall.

In fact, traded with all other US manufacturers up until 1939, then stopped, a joint venture plant in Germany was cancelled, most of Germany's lorries were ford knockoffs in WW2 but, at that time it was legal & not unethical. Such was the pre war innocence. Remember the BOE lent Germany funds, and the UK prime minister compromised with Adolf for 2 years to stop another conflict.

Ford has been scaring me, GM too. Neither has capitulated on going 100% EV yet, and now, predictably, the cost over runs and warranty expenses are eating their lunch.
I’ve said it before, they all need to stop screwing around and sell sub-ten thousand dollar ICE cars. That will keep the lights on and the doors open. EVs are fine, but represent a niche, boutique almost, kind of market.
Wide acceptance is a fantasy. People will buy simple cars that last five good years, and they would be simple to make.

It's exceptionally hard to build a sub-10k car that meets US safety and emission standards. The Geo Metro was the last one I can remember, and that was more than two decades (and a LOT of inflation) ago. A bunch of expensive stuff is mandatory now, e.g. back-up cameras, dual airbags, ABS, traction control, crumple zones, dual catalytic converters, dual O2 sensors, evap monitoring, big brother spyports, and fleet fuel economy. That makes it cost a lot to build a car. A tiny cheap lightweight car like the Metro just isn't a thing.

Just build a large quad, and put street tires in it!

Their most demanded product was the lower priced $20-$30K Ford Maverick truck(ish). Why because the real public cannot afford $80K-$100K F250s, F350's, Raptors, and Lightnings. And now the stealerships are paying for their $10K-$40K markups during the free money times.

You can do it, but its not a US type car, its a Reliant Robin with solar cells, and the CA startup is going to fail even with a winning design which charges itself with its own solar panels. Its just the wrong side of the collapse, and in exactly the wrong state, and perhaps not in China which is critical for costs..

If they can do it to bank bonds, they can do it to you. Time to stop playing. You haven’t made a profit until you cash out.
