It is in Amarex’s best interests to drag this out as long as they can. They benefit in several ways. The longer they can drag this out, the longer it is before there is a decision and any misdeeds (pardon me, “alleged” misdeeds) become public. Public knowledge hurts their reputation and might result in some people not signing contracts with them. Also, the longer they can drag this out, the longer they have the use of the money they have not yet paid to CYDY.
And, of course, the most important one is: the longer they wait, the more likely CYDY is to need their money, so CYDY might agree to a settlement for less money than an arbitrator might award.
Of course, that assumes that the arbitrator is honest and not suborned by the big money.
