Knightscope (NASDAQ: KSCP), a leading developer of autonomous security robots and blue light emergency communication systems, has received an additional order from Port Authority NY NJ. The order is for three new K1 call boxes, which the client plans to install at New York’s recently renovated Bayonne Bridge.
An historic steel arch bridge connecting Staten Island, New York, with Bayonne, New Jersey, the Bayonne Bridge spans 7,160 feet across the Kill Van Kull tidal strait. The bridge is comprised of four lanes of traffic as well as a 12-foot-wide path that pedestrians, wheelchairs and bicyclists access 24/7. According to the announcement, the addition of more Knightscope emergency call boxes expands access to emergency assistance to anyone traversing the bridge who may experience any emergency, crisis or distress.
