The reason I don't feel we are done with Covid is because Covid is not done with us. Not in the variant/ Pandemic way, but because Covid doesn't have the same effect on every patient and Long Haulers is going to be here for a generation.
NAFLD/NASH is a state of chronic inflammation due to visceral adipose tissue, it is a significant risk factor for hospitalization for Covid-19. Start going down the list of our favorite LL diseases and many are on the Covid list as well. Covid, like Cancer, is one massive tree of problems with many branches.
So you are right CDiddy,we will not be pursuing this singular Covid and replace remdesivir, but many branches are in the rear view mirror and pursuing us.
