shareholders usually(not always) focus on short term financial results of a company at which any point they can sell their shares and move onto another company
Dr Dalton using the wording stakeholder is unique for which a stakeholder is impacted in a way that they have a vested interest long term to see a company do well as they have an integral part in the company growing
Dalton is characterizing LOYAL LONGS who have stayed with the company for many many years as stakeholders
