Yep, and while making that proposal, he was sitting on massive inherited wealth that had been made by getting many in China hooked on opium...... A big round of applause to all loving grandpas.


Those high tax rates brought in very little to the treasury. The simple fact is, if you're bright enough to make the big bucks then you're probably bright enough to figure out ways to keep your money out of the hands of greedy ass politicians who only want to buy votes.
