Slate) In early 2022, Florida Sen. Rick Scott, the chair of the Republican Senate campaign arm, released what he called an “11 Point Plan to Save America.” One year later, one specific dim element of that plan—a proposal that all laws, including Social Security and Medicare, would expire in five years unless reapproved—is still coming back to haunt Republicans.
What does this really say? It tells me that if another Republican majority in both houses and a Republican president actually happens… we will lose social security. Boy ol’ boy… makes me want to run down to the election booth and vote Democrat across the board so this never happens. The republicans are showing that they don’t support the average working American. Why should we elect them any longer? It’s like cutting our own throat to elect a Republican majority or any Republican if this is what they truly stand for. Republicans are not for the working class and don’t be fooled… I just became a full fledged democrat and will now vote the party line.
