Progress - a legal opinion needed for profits of PBM which is only technology based on NCPDP standards which I helped develop. Today used not for eliminating paper etc but control of network participation.
Pressure of manufacturers drug cost leverage and squeeze the little profit left in retail community pharmacy supported by Health benefit entities. Now we have CVS a retail (etc) pharmacy provider owning a Insurance company (Aetna) to leverage a public non- government entity profiting as public companies with profit returns and stock appreciation in the United States healthcare system. The system allows this to continue to destroy the opportunity to provide real outcomes . We need smart people in all sectors to make a better way. You have to understand the total system for change.
