HIMR's business plan and ultimate goal is to recover trees lost to the world when some 50,000 hydro-electric dams were built all around the world. Initially, Hollund intends to concentrate on the reservoirs of Brazil, where the world's largest concentration of hydro-electric dams are found. The trees Hollund seeks, were written off many years ago when the world's largest man-made lakes and reservoirs were created. Hollund's unique TigerLynk underwater logging system aims to locate and log exquisite hardwoods and then carefully salvage them --- their strength, beauty, and structural integrity rediscovered to enrich our lives. Working with NorthCal Wood Products, each salvaged timber brought back from their watery graves will have a story and character all its own, and each piece will bear the official international “green” stamp of approval from the Rainforest Alliance under its rediscovered wood certification program. Hollund Industrial Marine --- a glimpse into the future of timber harvesting.
