I think the opposite happened…read Guns Germs and Steel (meta-analysis of history). The shift to ag-based society coincides with reliable food supply; that stability and food excess allowed for diversification of society (dedicated army for example). More importantly, it allowed for domestication of animals and it is that proximity that introduced a lot of diseases, which, once herd immunity was conferred, allowed decimation/domination of other people groups. There used to be an estimated 100 million native Americans in the US; once measles and smallpox were introduced they were truncated to less than 10 million. Man prevails…lives…through immunity. Maybe it is an apt company label.
