The corollary to your example is that no righty is not going to allow themselves to benefit from the Infrastructure Bill that was passed with few GOP votes
They won't drive on the repaired roads and bridges, draw power from improved electrical grids nor will they ditch their DSL for high speed Internet.
And GOP politicians WILL turn up for shovel turnings and ribbon cuttings for projects they argued against funding.
