Vision Energy Corp. (VENG) Expands Scope of Green
Post# of 24
- Renewable energy facilities developer Vision Energy Corporation is dedicated to developing green and low-carbon fuel resources, with current focus on construction of multiple hydrogen production-via-electrolysis facilities in Europe
- The company announced a cooperative agreement last month with global industrial gases and engineering company Linde Engineering to initiate design of a planned green energy terminal site in the Netherlands
- Vision Energy announced this month that the agreement is expanding to accelerate the development of the site for the storage of ammonia/LPG and other green and renewable products
- A final investment decision (“FID”) is expected by Q3 of next year on the project, which would be Northwestern Europe’s first import, storage, and handling terminal designed exclusively for hydrogen carriers, renewable energy products, and low-carbon fuels
Green and low-carbon fuel asset developer Vision Energy (OTCQB: VENG) announced recently that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (“MOU”) with Linde Engineering, a leading global industrial gases and engineering company, to expand their collaboration on services associated with designing and operating clean energy infrastructure in Northwestern Europe.
Vision Energy’s wholly owned subsidiary, Evolution Terminals BV, partnered with Linde last month for preliminary Front-End Engineering and Design (“FEED”) services for Vision’s pioneering Green Energy Terminal project in the North Sea Port of Vlissingen, the Netherlands.
The expanded scope of the MOU demonstrates the companies’ interest in rapidly accelerating the development of the terminal’s site for the storage of ammonia/LPG and other green and renewable products such as e-methanol, according to a company news release issued Dec. 12 (https://nnw.fm/lTrEv ).
The initial scope of the agreement announced last month included design and engineering of 150,000 cubic meters (“CBM”) of storage for green ammonia (“NH3”), 180,000 CBM for renewable methanol and 70,000 CBM for biofuels, as well as loading facilities for trucks, barges and ships, and utilities, infrastructure and buildings.
The Green Energy Terminal project will be Northwestern Europe’s first import, storage and handling terminal designed exclusively for hydrogen carriers, renewable energy products, and low-carbon fuels. The 16.4-hectare (40.5-acre) site will adopt sustainable operating practices to reduce emissions from terminal activities.
Investment plans include a new deep-water jetty, quay wall redevelopment, truck and rail loading facilities, and the company will also assess the feasibility of integrating an ammonia cracking facility at the site for converting green ammonia to hydrogen, exploiting the site’s close proximity to the future European Hydrogen Backbone (“EHB”) (https://nnw.fm/zvSVg ).
Engineering work is under way, and the company anticipates it will be able to reach a final investment decision (“FID”) by Q3 next year.
“Our Green Energy Terminal Project will accelerate and advance the energy transition and facilitate Northwestern Europe’s ambition to achieve Net Zero through carbon-abatement and adoption of hydrogen as a core feedstock and fuel,” Vision Energy CEO Andrew Hromyk stated (https://nnw.fm/dm5di ).
Nearly 200 international political governments and environmental activists agreed to limit pollutants believed responsible for a rising number of climate change-spawned extreme weather events as part of a United Nations-sponsored collaboration close to a decade ago. The terminal project reflects ongoing efforts by private industry as well as public agencies to meet the accord’s goals of reducing overall planetary warming.
Vision Energy’s focus as a renewable energy facilities developer includes design, development and scalable hydrogen production-via-electrolysis facility construction at multiple strategic locations in Europe, as well as work with other green fuels.
