This has come up a number of times. If you remember, people asked why would someone use Verb tools instead of Meta, Instagram, TikTok, Youtube, etc to do live videos and sell stuff.
I said because a lot of companies don't like how these sites/apps are ad driven which you can't really control.
I also said that these apps are gamed to be very addictive and not in a good way.
Oh and some sell you data too. If you are a little bit technical, you can turn on tools to see all the external URLs that are hit when you go to sites like Meta, Youtube and especially iHub. Let's add tracing the latter to the fun and games we are going to have. You might not want to hit that site after you see what I see.
If you watch 60 minutes tonight, you'll hear the negative side of these giant companies, that has been going on for a dozen years. You'll hear there are 150 lawsuits against social media giants TikTok, Meta and others will proceed next year.
This may also be one of the reason why these companies gave up trying to do Live Selling themselves and are looking for partners. Partners would be free of the baggage these corporate giants have.
