The upshot is that you took this comment by Cy Young and decided it meant we are going after NASH alone:

There is another way of reading that same Cy Young comment. Think of it this way;
"Because this is all going to funding dependent, we're going to focus on NASH initially..." could mean that, since this is all funding dependent, we have to focus on NASH first because this is where we can find funding first. I.e., we know we are going to find a partner for NASH.
Then "and work with co-development partners to the extent that we can to develop in oncology" could mean that we don't have any co-development oncology partners yet, so we will work on oncology when and if we get partners, but not before.
In other words, it could be read almost the opposite way you read it. I don't claim to actually know. As my dad would say, everybody to their own lousy boloney.
