Spent 35 years of my life burning wood for my main heat
Spent 35 years of my life burning wood for my main heat source. Then converted to Natural Gas for everything. Love how clean and easy and super cheap Natural Gas is. I am far from a welfare line for free anything. Maybe you are on the edge of the line and have these feelings that since you don’t get those benefits nobody deserves them. I can’t understand why else you would be so chapped about someone else getting something you could or would need or want.
You are the classic Republican. Bitch and whine how your taxes are spent by the government. But be the first one in line to grab any benefit that might be available for you. Tax rebates and subsidies or whatever you are eligible for. It’s never a problem as long as you are getting the benefit.
You need to look past what others receive and just worry about others that need more help and how you might help your neighbors and people in your community. The warm feeling you might get helping others might reduce your need for 95 degree temps in your home. There is one thing I learned in life many years ago. “Can’t sweat the small shit in life”. It will tear you up to think you don’t get anything when everyone else does. Just be thankful for what you do have. Learn to accept what you can not change. It makes life and attitudes much better.
