It’s maddening the waste, loss of time, and failure to recognize real cause and effects. Amyloid is like no-man’s land in WW1…”OMG, the tides of Europe turn on no-man’s land, it’s where we will win the war…yeah I know it’s a wasteland but let’s focus on this heart of darkness and win the day” when any schoolboy would appreciate root causes precede even the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand and have more to do with the Ottomans attempts to invade Austria in 1699 and expand their reach…with their defeat Hungary is ceded to Austria…fast forward Austria-Hungary annexes Bosnia and eyes further expansion in the Balkans in 1902…first Balkan war 1912-13…then the match is lit with the assassination of the Archduke.
But there is money to be made on the battlefield and BP intends to recoup their investment regardless of the real facts, be it Remdesivir, aducanumab or Lecanemab.
I wish for the day soon when these BP powers cease their attacks, mobilizations and countermove’s…get some adults in the room and focus attention on the real problem…the courage to accept failures and consider reasonable alternatives.
I think Alzheimer’s disease can be conquered but not with current focus and strategy on Amyloid deposits… that approach can only mean more suffering and death in no-man’s land.
