A key comparison to better understand the challenge and how the company’s brands have been gaining market share is to look at weight sold in grams and compare resulting revenue. It shows a 42% increase in product sales but a 6% decrease in comparable revenue. The company has answered price pressures with a multi-faceted strategy which allows for share capture while introducing higher margin brands and product lines.
