18 months = 6 Quarters, so if the orders were distributed evenly they would average 162,500 units per Quarter. Estimating $10 per unit would bring in $1.625 million in revenue each Quarter.
If BIEL ships out the first order in Q4 this would give BIEL a 2022 sales figure of $2.277 million, $62k shy of BIEL's best year ever in 2015 at the height of UK retail sales. Unlike 2015, where the expenses of retail sales resulted in a $1.8 million loss from operations, BIEL would have over $1 million in profit from operations using the above estimates due to significantly lower costs than retail sales.
The OEMs pay BIEL when their product is delivered so periods of expected consumer demand won't necessarily align with BIEL revenue. We don't know much about the DJO shipments because they did not go direct from the mfg, but we do have a good record on KT Tape.
Last year, including December of 2019, KT received 10,950 cases of their 'Wave' product, shipped direct from the mfg to KT. Using a 6 unit per case estimate that is 65,700 units. This has evidently been enough units to keep them stocked through 2022 to date.
IMO, at $34.99 KT priced the Wave too high given its 250 hour life span and this hindered sales. KT recently dropped the RRP to $29.99 and lowered the subscription price to $23.99. This should increase demand and KT will still have a healthy margin.
Still looking for something official from BIEL re Synergy, probably too late for this week now.
