Another question is why a cool $50 mil loan?
to build a 1GW solar panel factory with equipment, shipping, assembly/set-up, training, permits, hiring and buying the building for approx $3 mil? Does the building need serious upgrades? Does the company actually have any idea if its trying to get money to build a 1GW or 1.2GW capacity solar plant?
Could the fees on $50 mil loan be more than the price on the property? Step up loan? facility with milestones?
I haven't seen one company that invested more than $36 mil for a 1GW plant for Georgia 2023 completion.
My due diligence still showing at least 2-2 1/2 years to be up and running. But the this always ends up being a wasted exercise since no announce planned and funded(?) projects have resulted in zero.
btw...What happened to all of the hype about Texas? lol Recall the City of Houston seal posted in a blurred photo tweet? Is that tweet still up? Ya'll got faked out on that one didn't ya. But I guess it was a fun twitter game for a while.
