Personally, and this is just my opinion and guess, I cannot see how the RRX would not get insurance reimbursement coverage if it is used post operative. I am not an expert on the process of getting coded for such, but it would be a surprise to me if doctors (surgeons) prescribe and see a need for these products for their patients and that RRX is denied insurance coverage. Why would this (RRX) not be grouped into all other medications and treatments that DO get covered. If anything it should be welcomed by insurance companies as an alternative to those addicting drug alternatives that ARE now used and 'covered'. Addiction results in more and more pills to be reimbursed by those insurance companies. And we all know that insurance companies HATE to pay out but LOVE to take in ($$ premiums). So RRX seems just what insurance companies should prefer to see used.
