Kelly was/ is not a simple field player, Nader and Kelly were together the coach of Cytodyn.
I can only assume why he is still in the management team and it is definitely not because of his qualifications and performance over the last years.

I guess some kind of a deal between Tanja and Kelly was done prior the firing of Nader. For me this is the only logical explanation why he is still CMO.
As I can remember Nader and Kelly were part of the CYDY BOD back then. Wasn't Kelly also chairman of the BOD (Nader and Kelly were basically overseeing themselves) when the palace coup was initiated?
So I assume in order to get rid of Nader they needed the support of Kelly and they made a deal.
Nader got fired, Kelly degraded from chairman of the BOD to a board member and he can keep his CMO position (nice paycheck btw.).
Nader was Caesar, Kelly was Brutus and the shareholder were given bread and circuses over the last couple of years.
