A western Michigan township has been raided by state police per an investigation into previous reports of there being access to unauthorized voting machines following the 2020 presidential election.
CNN reported that the agency began an investigation back in February after learning about an unnamed third party being granted access to the voting machines in one county of Michigan.
Now, the investigation is being expanded to numerous other counties after police were notified of other breaches, as stated by Michigan State Police Lt. Derrick Carroll.
The Irving Township made a statement:
“The Township intends to fully cooperate with law enforcement, and the Township attorneys have been in contact with the Michigan State Police regarding this matter. The Township has no further comment at this time.”

More details from Just The News:
Michigan State Police seized a voting machine as part of an investigation into possible unauthorized access to election equipment.
Law enforcement and officials at Democratic Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel’s office had a warrant and took a voting machine from Irving Township into custody, officials told CNN and The Epoch Times.
“The Township intends to fully cooperate with law enforcement, and the Township attorneys have been in contact with the Michigan State Police regarding this matter. The Township has no further comment at this time,” Irving Township supervisor Jamie Knight told The Epoch Times.
County clerk Pamela Palmer told CNN that she did not know about any machine issue until police notified her of the equipment’s seizure.
The 2020 election investigation has expanded in Michigan.
The Western Journal reported on the incident:
Michigan’s investigation into whether post-election breaches of voting equipment took place has expanded.
Last Friday, Michigan State Police seized a voting machine tabulator in Irving Township, Barry County Clerk Pamela Palmer told CNN.
The focus of the state probe was on whether anyone who should not have been allowed to access voting machine data was able to breach election protocols.
The investigation began in February after allegations from the Michigan Secretary of State’s Office that a third party, who has not been named, accessed elections data and technology in Roscommon County.
Michigan State Police Lt. Derrick Carroll said the probe was expanding, but would not discuss specific jurisdictions.

CNN reported that what it called a “source familiar with the investigation” said a third location was also being scrutinized.
Unfortunately, a story of voting machine irregularities comes as no surprise these days, as numerous instances like this one have occurred across the country following the 2020 presidential election.
Most notably, in Maricopa County, Arizona, all voting machines used in 2020 were replaced due to concerns over security and integrity. Democratic election attorney Marc Elias argued in 2021 that faulty voting machines could have misread thousands of votes in a House election in upstate New York.
