well, i was dead wrong about the hold being lifted. i think i need to retire from the business of making predictions on these calls - i'm 0-9 at least.
Cyrus is impressive, and i think as good as we can get - loved him laying out the 3 objectives / missions. just seems like a focused guy - wants to help patients, and wants to reward shareholders. also very impressive additions to the team.
in terms of progress / updates, i had to duck out a couple of times, but didn't hear anything tangible on the timing of the hold, or on the BLA submission - other than talk about what a trainwreck Amarex was.
love to hear what others think. my impression is that we're still a ways away on getting the hold lifted - and potentially a long way away on the BLA. i didn't like the comment on safety by Cyrus - i would have preferred a much more emphatic "this drug is extremely safe". but he mentioned aggregate analysis to see if there is a safety issue in pooled data or something like that. i thought that was odd. partnerships seemed a stretech at the moment, unless they couldn't talk - which i can understand.
bottom line: love the team, but was disappointed not to get anything more tangible (like the hold lifted or a short fuse on BLA). i just need to not get my hopes up for these calls i guess!!
