When it comes to freedom in general and freedom of choice the GOP Taliban is on the job trying to curtail freedom. Have you noticed the reaction to the abortion ruling?
If that is not an attempt to constrain freedom of choice I don't know what is.
Attempting to overturn elections overtly as on 1/6, or through promoting shams like the Cyber Ninjas 'investigation' in AZ or the laughable 2000 Mules are NOT supportive of free and fair elections.

A Republican county official in Georgia escorted two operatives working with an attorney for former President Donald Trump into the county’s election offices on the same day a voting system there was breached, newly obtained video shows.
The breach is now under investigation by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and is of interest to the Fulton County District Attorney, who is conducting a wider criminal probe of interference in the 2020 election.
The video sheds more light on how an effort spearheaded by lawyers and others around Trump to seek evidence of voter fraud was executed on the ground from Georgia to Michigan to Colorado, often with the assistance of sympathetic local officials.
As for 'sad'? I laugh long and hard at some of the Trumpanzee nonsense posted here, laugh some more as I find how easy it is to find info to debunk that nonsense and laugh still more as I find parodies and devastating satires to counter what is retrieved from rabbit holes and the fevered minds of you nutters.
