Truth Sleuther
"Ever wonder why all moon craters are round (and shallow, regardless of diameter)? Why do we not see trenches from meteor which grazed the moon? If they're all round craters, and the moon orbits the earth always facing the same side to us, then wouldn't that imply that the direction of the meteors was towards the moon... from the earth's direction?"
The Masoplanation offered recently to the faithful on this issue is that there is enough kinetic energy in the incoming meteor that it melts the surface in a detonation of impact which is so energetic that the outward expansion of material erases the evidence of the trajectory of the meteor.
I call Bullshyte on that: Most meteors would be small enough that they would leave clear evidence of their incoming angle...and these would be seen all over the moon in the high magnification images. They are lying again.
