Democrat Mayor STOLE $30k from Taxpayers… LOCK HER UP

Mayor LaToya Cantrell got caught sticking her hand in the cookie jar.
Now she is throwing around the race card to explain her way out of it.
Over the last two years, Cantrell has tapped New Orleans taxpayers for almost $30,000 in travel costs.
The money is going to first class and business class upgrades on flights.
When this was revealed, she was pretty open that she had no intent on returning the money, stating, “All expenses incurred doing business on behalf of the city of New Orleans will not be reimbursed to the city of New Orleans.”
One of those trips… an $18,000 first-class trip to France.
The city travel policy states, “Employees are required to purchase the lowest airfare available… Employees who choose an upgrade from coach, economy, or business class flights are solely responsible for the difference in cost.”
She is trying to say that the rule does not apply to her because she is elected.
Not sure if she gets it, but she is still an employee of the city.
Not only that, but she is also playing the race card.
Cantrell justified her travel upgrades, stating, “As all women know, our health and safety are often disregarded and we are left to navigate alone.
“As the mother of a young child whom I live for, I am going to protect myself by any reasonable means in order to ensure I am there to see her grow into the strong woman I am raising her to be.
“Anyone who wants to question how I protect myself just doesn’t understand the world Black women walk in.”
Now, can you imagine being a struggling black woman trying to pay your bills in New Orleans and your mayor is trying to tell you that she wasted $30k of your money because she did not feel safe on a plane?
Raise your hand if you have ever flown… keep that hand up in there was a black woman on the flight.
Continue to keep that hand up if any of those women were assaulted on the plane.
No hands are up? Do you mean Cantrell is just using her gender and race to justify stealing money from her taxpayers?
