Well it should not happen. But let's say an MM gets over flowed with orders and he had the shares to by or sell at the given time. He gives out of his stash puts it on paper then submits all those EOD. Now is the MM really that busy that they can't keep up with the vol or is there something else at work who knows. All tickets must be submitted at EOD though so it certainly is looking shady. Esp considering that we have had BIG block trades at EOD this week. Now the only dif I saw, and on this point it out if I'm wrong Plz, but today when the "trade went through it did not effect the bid. I still showed same bid ask. As a matter of fact I didn't even show the print just the pps change. The last few days that was not the case. However I do recall seeing a sale for some 5 mil shares at one point that hit bid and knocked us down and then disappeared. However there was not enough on the bid to allow that trade to be executed. It almost seems like we have a new person or 2 working for these companies that are having a hard time. Anyway my 2 cents speculate away or feel free to tell me I'm an idiot lol.
