Part of Lexaria’s third patent family — Stable Ready-to-Drink Beverage Compositions Comprising Lipophilic Active Agents, from which patents have already been granted from Australia, India and Japan — the newest patent comes from Mexico and applies to range of active ingredients including non-psychoactive cannabinoids and NSAIDs. The announcement noted that types of products covered by the patent include specific pharmaceutical product formats along with an array of ready-to-drink consumer retail beverage products.
