In fact, all these brands wouldn't sign up for Market unless they were going to LIVE Stream.
The interesting thing with BestBuy is, they could sell a lot of equipment to all the other companies that are Live Streaming. It looks like what they have in their storefront so far, is equipment for just that as you see the camera, mic and gear. I think that is brilliant.
For these Big Brands, Market is a low lost, low risk way to modernize your brand. Sure beats the heck out of Bambuser were you have to go 'rent' their software, sign up for a year or multi year lease and then find a place, maybe your own brand website to go stream like BestBuy.com. The downside to that is, you are preaching to the choir. Not a bad thing, but the people going to your site may have already been a customer and were already going to buy anyway.
In the case of MARKET, someone coming and shopping at the Gap may see BestBuy and give it a view. That is the beauty of MARKET vs a lot of me too Live Streaming apps that you have to build your own platform and user base.
