What I really like about MARKET.LIVE is VERB went
Post# of 32642
The whole enchilada, the grad slam, the moonshot, The Big Kahuna, the inside the park homerun...
Didn't dip their toe in the water like other sites. Could have, but didn't
Didn't cater to crybabies that wanted it all now
Stuck to the long game
It's really, really, really hard to launch anything in so many categories
I don't know a lot of brands that did or could
There has been NO other Live Shopping site that has done that.
Mentioned 'da moat' a while back. Didn't really get into it and not sure everyone understands what that is.
Please allow me to explain...
It's generally viewed as the barrier to entry
If you look at WTF that raised $484.7M in funding over 7 rounds. Yeah SEVEN rounds!
Maybe that's ($484.7M) what a new start up would need to do to compete in the Pokémon card game?
Now extrapolate that into what would a startup need to create a LIVE shopping platform that transcends all categories?
It's quite a moat if you understand technology, startups and VCs.
Oh, also factor in now, is not the best time for private companies looking for funding.
Some start off with books, others Pokémon cards and comics.
Verb went for high-end brands and mom and pop businesses.
Oh and they can do comics too...
Vendor on the list...

One of my next post will be about Facebook tapping out
If you like these posts that try to educate rather than tear everything down, let me know. Thumb so others can see the value instead of hiding in a closet.
I got better charities than to the preaching to the same. Although the financial terrorist board which Teddie is a big part of get all their DD from iHang
Cue the cellos...
