BLACK FIREFIGHTER SUES FOR $4 MILLION AFTER BECOMING ‘EMOTIONALLY DISTRESSED’ BY FRIED CHICKEN
The basic story here is that a black firefighter was invited to a party where they served fried chicken and now he’s suing the city for $4 million dollars because of the emotional distress it caused him. I could see it being a little uncomfortable if they were serving a vegan menu but fried chicken is delicious.
ABC News reports that Rochester, New York Fire Department Captain Jeffrey Krywy invited some of his colleagues, including Jerrod Jones, who is black, to a party on July 7. So far it’s pretty unremarkable, but according to ABC, the party was “filled with racist tropes.”
…Jones said that when he arrived at the party, he saw a large cut-out of former President Donald Trump and buckets of Kentucky Fried Chicken next to Juneteenth flags.
What are the racist tropes or imagery? The Juneteenth flags? The Trump cut-out? It has to be the fried chicken but according to Jones the host of the party offered him some, meaning that’s the food they were serving.
Also, who even knows what a Juneteenth flag is? I sure don’t and doubt anyone in Rochester, NY, including Jones, does either.
The only thing left is the cut-out of Donald Trump, so presumably Jones is suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome and is looking for a pay day. He is suing the City of Rochester and Rochester Fire Department for $4 million in damages. He got invited to a party, was offered some tasty food, and now he’s f*cked up to the tune of $4 million? Apparently so:
Jones claimed he’s suffering emotional distress, fears that he will be retaliated against by Krywy and others and is currently on leave from the RFD, according to the lawsuit.
“What I had to experience a month ago it cut me very deeply,” said Jones.
I’ve been to parties with overweight strippers, where an idiot shot himself through the leg, and where they didn’t have any alcohol and only played soft rock hits of the 70’s, all of which are way worse than the party Jones went to. It turns out snowflakes come in black too.
As an added bonus, Krywy, who invited Jones to the party, is under investigation so he went ahead and retired before they could screw him out of his pension. Basically because Jones is a whiny bitch, the City of Rochester has lost a good firefighter.
I’d be willing to bet that Jones never gets invited to another party for the rest of his life. The consequences are too dire to extend any gesture of friendship to him.
On the plus side, the city will almost certainly settle with Jones because they don’t want to appear racist for fighting this frivolous lawsuit.
