Ahhh, the ad business.
VidMod needed another $110M to remind people to smile in ads
Everyone wants 100's of millions.
It's crazy the money that gets thrown at anything around ads. But hey, isn't that were google, facebook and others make all their money. It's definingly not a non for profit, offering up a great search engine for free from the bottom of the heart.
Meta shutting down its live shopping feature on Facebook in October. Forgot, did anyone actually figure out why. Certainly not the financial terrorist board.
It's quite simple...
Conflict of interest. They can't on one hand, be the be it end all platform for the Meta Universe, and then dominate all sales. You wouldn't get any 3rd party vendors participating. It would be a closed loop Apple Mac thingy again. By my $50 Apple Mouse. Buy my $450 hard drive expansion. It would never take off.
Meta universe is a bit crazy on it's own, but remember back in the day when people started buying up domain names and some thought that was stupid?
Interesting Rory mentioned future plans for Meta. The trouble with saying anything is, you'll get the twitter trolls that will ask every day...
"Are we there yet?
Most companies have a 3 year roadmap. Most of the time if I'm working with a tech company, I'll get to see it, but most don't. As they wouldn't get it.
Microsoft does publish theirs.

As I said, most wouldn't understand it.
What's interesting is...
There wasn't a peep about VerbMail whether Outlook or Gmail
I expected Rory to say, we put all hands on deck on Market as that is where the highest ROI and our short-term/long-term objectives are.
Not a peep!
Is there something brewing with Microsoft?
idk - Be great of they took an equity stake as the stock would go up dollars overnight.
Be better to drop that rumor before they do, so they pay higher
