Re: Rusty #89965
I wish I could believe you are not influenced by the Republican propaganda machine but it’s to obvious that you are. You spew it freely and grab it most likely from some web site that is far right wing nut Republican. You Rusty aren’t just part of the problem in this country you are the problem. People like you are brain washed to repeat the lies of the propaganda machine. Maybe I am wrong about the exact source of your influence but I am 100 % convinced you live and breath the right wing propaganda machine. You think you are a patriot but you don’t really care about freedoms or freedom of choice. You want or have been trained to control others freedoms like the religious right has told you to. Abortion for women should be a individual right for many reasons and yet you have been educated that it is taboo and you don’t want people to have that freedom. What gives anyone the right to control someone else’s choice? Your religion? What make you think you can control anyone else’s freedom of choice?

I also don’t buy the view of fear installed against illegal immigrants that the Republican Party views. We need some immigration always but now even more than ever. You…as I am are probably part of the baby boomer generation. The work force will deminish as our generation retires at a rate of 11,000 workers a day for the next 8 years. The work force will fall to less than 55 million from a current rate of around 71 million. Is this the reason that unemployment is so low. It sure is… is this the reason that social security is suppose to go broke and drop to 75% benefits rate? Maybe having some more organized immigration would be a good thing. I do agree that legal entry is preferred to enter our country. Illegal immigrants are the biggest flood of immigrants right now. The fact is we need them right now. The lower paying jobs in this country right now are difficult to fill and illegal workers wether illegal or not will take those jobs. Do we need those people? I think we do. We need someone to support your social security benefits don’t we? That’s what they will do. So basically to be taught to fear immigrants is a Republican platform that isn’t real smart. The fear is the problem. Funding a solution for Immigration reform will never get partisan support. We have always needed immigrants and we always will. Illegal or not we need them. Controlling the volume and the type of immigrants is what needs to be controlled. The government needs to financially support the immigration and not fight immigration. Fighting the immigration isn’t working… so this border secure issue surrounding immigration of illegal immigrants is blown way out of per portion and instilled as a fear in right wing propaganda machine politics. We need literally 15 to 20 million immigrants to support the baby boomers retiring the next 8 years. Where will they come from? Should we stop them completely and take a 25% reduction in social security benefits? Will you volunteer to be the first to take a reduction in social security benefits? Would that be the American thing to do? Are you that patriot that would voluntarily take a reduction in Social Security benefits?
