Second, I think we got pretty lucky with the two mRNA vaccines, they have the same efficacy as the small pox vaccine which has been effective in preventing smallpox infection in 95% of those vaccinated. The first polio vaccines actually "caused" polio in some people.
I have trust in the New York Times for fact checking which is exactly why I too have no trust in fed health agencies. Both the Times and the WSJ wrote articles in Oct of 2020 that therapeutics were being ignored and they both concurred with the CDC that Remdesivir didn't work. 1 million deaths later it is still the number one FDA approved therapeutic for Covid and all so they could roll out their vaccines. Articles in the Times about the FDA/BP revolving door and corruption are totally vetted and totally damning toward the healthcare system.
Common sense tells us masks hinder the transmission of disease, I mean surgical masks have been used since the 1960s in hospitals. They are more to protect others than yourself. Taiwan had mandatory masks and 12 covid deaths in the first year.
As far as kids go, they are resilient. Kids were isolated during WWII bombings in England and grew up normal.
