No need to be confused… it was never presented as a cure or vaccine that would keep you from getting Covid. The vaccines were never presented as such. It was stated they were a vaccine that would give your immune system a recognition of the molecules invading our system initiating a immune response. Basically a head start of our immune system to react before to much replication took place and became a severe or critical reaction.
The vaccines were meant to keep you out of the hospital. To limit the impact of Covid. They are doing their job as they stated they would. Some vaccines are better than others and that’s where you need to do your research and see which one is better for you.
