I think the govt, BP, and top level medical organizations
I think the govt, BP, and top level medical organizations see the potential for Brilacidin to be a broad-spectrum therapeutic against a great many viruses but whether they want to actually get it into an oral form that the public could take as prescribed to combat most of the serious viruses that seem to be coming to light faster and faster these days is another issue.
Would feel a whole lot more confident in this investment if the power and money forces nationwide and seemingly worldwide weren't so intent on trying to keep it in the background.
But a big pharma would make a ton of money off a daily or semi-weekly pill used by most everyone in the industrialized countries of the world and so maybe that will encourage one of them to partner up with IPIX.
I still believe no money should be spent by IPIX on anything but OM and IBD at the current time. Let all the viral hoopla be handled by the govt to see how really serious they are in moving this wonder drug forward. Right now IMO they are like a big fish just nibbling at the bait to keep us ready to focus on it though they may have little intention of moving it past the investigational stage. If IPIX doesn't have a partner by now for OM P3 trial, then I look quite askance at the recent Squalum investment as we just don't have the funds currently to put into areas that seem to be quite a ways off to fruition.
