Today we had our Q2 results call with McEwen Mining Inc. in which I had the chance to represent McEwen Copper.
Taking out the investment in McEwen Copper development for the Los Azules project and other exploration activities that are expensed according to US GAAP it is good to see the profitability of the company and the turnaround taking place.

It is also great to get the chance to update on Los Azules advances and to communicate that we are accelerating the development of this top 10 copper project by resource, externally ranked by Mining Intelligence, and after issuance of the updated preliminary economic assessment, will directly move towards feasibility this is an important milestone for the strong team that we built in Argentina and moves the project closer to becoming reality.
As a funny sidenote, just at the time we had scheduled our results call, there was to be a fire drill taking place in our building; amazing to see the flexibility and no-stress attitude of the executive team on this unannounced challenge, but thanks to the superfast reaction of Stefan we switched offices to be able to deliver important positive news, just from another office in the financial district in #Toronto. This is what I like about McEwen Mining, a positive attitude no matter what.
