Continuing their never-ending beating of a dead political horse, The New Yorker published an alleged resignation letter Monday from General Mark Milley that was never submitted to former President Trump.
According to The New Yorker, Milley wrote the scathing letter to Trump following federal officials clearing rioters out of Lafayette Square back in the summer of 2020.
In a throwback to an event that was far worse in many aspects than Jan. 6 ever was, then- Attorney General William Barr dismissed claims by the leftist media that rioters were actually “peaceful protesters.” Barr noted that the antagonists repeatedly assaulted police by throwing bricks and flammable liquids.
“ There were fires set in not only St. John’s Church, but a historic building at Lafayette was burned down,” Barr asserted. “They broke into the Treasury Department… and they were injuring police.”
Barr also noted that “this was not an operation to respond to that particular crowd, it was an operation to move the perimeter one block.”
