FuelPositive (TSX.V: NHHH) (OTCQB: NHHHF), a Canadian-based, growth-stage company committed to providing commercially viable and sustainable, cradle-to-cradle, clean-energy solutions, has named Lenore Newman as the company’s global food security advisor. A leading researcher and a former Canada Research chair in food security, Newman is currently the director of the Food and Agriculture Institute at the University of the Fraser Valley whose research is focused on agricultural land use policy, agricultural technology and bioengineering in the global food system. In her new role, Newman will assist in guiding the company’s efforts in the development of controlled environment agriculture and other food-security pilot projects; her expertise and reputation will also open doors globally, across Canada and specifically in British Columbia, where controlled environment agriculture is taking off. In addition, FuelPositive announced a partnership with the Controlled Environment Systems Research Facility at the University of Guelph, which has established a reputation for its expertise on “controlled environment agriculture” and is known as “Canada’s Food University.” The company will be working with a team to set up what it hopes will be NHHHF’s first pilot project with a controlled environment agriculture partner. The company noted that it has also scheduled a corporate update webinar, where company officials will discuss this news and other key updates; the webinar will also include a Q&A session. The webinar is scheduled for Aug. 9, 2022, at 2 p.m. ET. “As a company dedicated to sustainability, reversing climate change and global food security, we are exploring opportunities and actively engaging with new partners who share our values,” said FuelPositive CEO and board Chair Ian Clifford in the press release. “Lenore and the team at University of Guelph are perfectly aligned with us to help us make inroads into this exciting and critical area of agriculture.”
