As Mo says this needs NOT to be the monkeypox boar

Once again we are getting flawed information from the CDC and others jumping to conclusions. Was the CDC correct in what they told us at the beginning of COVID? (“You don’t need masks, it’s not airborne.”)
Unquestionably this virus is not exclusively a gay-transmitted disease.
Corrections officers in New York have monkeypox. They did not get it from the inmates — they are concerned that the inmates have been infected by the corrections officers.
Quote:
At least two uniformed Department of Correction staffers, including a captain who works directly with detainees, have contracted monkeypox, sources familiar with the matter told The Post Friday.
One of the staffers, who the DOC said does not work in a jail on the island, tested positive on Thursday and has been isolating in accordance with medical guidelines, the agency said.
It’s not immediately clear when the captain contracted the virus but at the time they did, they were working inside one of the DOC’s jails, sources said.
“We take the health and safety of people who work and live in our facilities seriously, and have been working with our partners at Correctional Health Services to mitigate any potential spread of monkeypox should cases arise. This partnership and hard work has kept our facilities safe,” a DOC spokesperson said in an email.
As of Thursday, no detainees have contracted monkeypox, according to Correctional Health Services, but jailhouse sources said it’s only a matter of time before the virus spreads among inmates considering the close contact many of them have.

It’s doubtful that those corrections officers infected each other with gay sex.
There are several Washington Post articles. One of them particularly makes it clear that contact with objects that have had virus deposited on them by someone who is infected can and will be sources of infection.
There are children who are infected. It’s a much more serious disease in children and the immune-impaired (including older people). Doubtful that toddlers are having gay sex, but there are already plenty of documented cases in kids. ANY kind of close contact can spread it.
Here’s a nightmare scenario for you: what’s going to happen when we start having one toddler go to a daycare center or young kids go to school, infected but not knowing it because it has a long incubation period? We’re going to see whole classes and daycare centers being infected, and those kids are going to carry it home to their parents and siblings.
Don’t fool yourself. This may be most obvious among gays now, but it is going to become a threat to everyone sooner that you think.
Protect yourself. Try not to touch things outside of your own home with your bare hands. Carry Purcell for those times that you can’t wash your hands.
If nothing else, it will help you avoid getting the flu or colds, if you can be real careful with what you touch. Monkeypox may rarely be fatal, but some of the people who have had it say that it is excruciatingly painful.
And let’s hope that Brilacidin works, and that the FDA doesn’t throw obstacles in front of this use for it, they way they have for IPIX and several other smaller companies that some of us have invested in.
