I assume Rory doesn't read ST so I'll post this one again on iHang and he can do what he wants as I'm not a armchair QB
Last time I talk to Rory he hedged his bets...
While many here think he's stupid, the guy is risk adverse as the last thing he wants to see is the company taking toxic or shutting down.
Oh and there are dozens of these 1-2 man shops that will shut down. Wouldn't surprise me if Bambuser goes belly up
Anyway, so there are at LEAST two companies Rory can get funding from on good terms.

I'd go to the VC that are investing in the dozens of startup like Whatsnot and ask if you want a piece of a company already public.
They all know that even the best of startups may never go public.
No public, no payday. HUGE risk especially now. WhatsNOT is unlike to go public for years, IF EVER.
$VERB already public. Risk mitigated
