I disagree with the "all sides are equal" crap. The longs have provided links and facts to back up their claims. The bashers have not. When a long provides inaccurate information, he corrects it. Bashers do not.
To refer to it as "both sides" is ridiculous. There is no long version of arvitar, Stock, Dr, Goldsmith, etc, except for maybe gort who is banned. If a long posts something ridiculous, his fellow longs will be the first to correct e bad information or error. As a moderator on IHUB, I get lngs asking me all the time for accuracy chefs before posting something and author removed deletion requests. Bashers don't correct each other ever. It's very tellng. The two sides aren't equal with two different points of view. One is purposely dishonest while supporting each other.
Take gort as an example, the pumper version of arvitar. Longs couldn't stand him and gave him more shit than bashers did.
I know it's always tempting to play the role of "the great equalizer" like a marriage counselor who says both are equally at fault. But that's bullshit. Sometimes only one of the two sides is the evil-doer telling the wrong story. The SEC outcome is a perfect example. There was only one sided who rationally analyzed it, used links, statistics, and relevant facts, and got it right. Longs don't always get it right, but their opinions and facts are at least honest for the most part. "Real and clean DD" comes from longs. Very rarely do you see dishionest, fake, or dirty DD from longs while from bashers it's an every day occurrence.
