Unfortunately, I did not win the $500. But rather funny, in a compare/contrast kind of way, how Verb gave away ONE $500 prize on ShopFest, while Whatnot is giving away $100,000. Yet Verb is the one labeled as Spendaholics.
While I did not win the $500, I did win a beautiful bottle of Babel wine from Babylonstoren’s first public livestream a month or so ago. They even waited to ship it to me until I was back from vacation and I didn’t even need to remind them. Just showed up at my door a few days ago. Suggest anyone who likes hearty red wines give it a shot. In fact, I Bought some more Babel wine yesterday and a few others to try to show my support.
Besides the amazing bottle of wine, I also won some lube (yes, that kind of lube) from the first livestream a few months ago with those two women but unfortunately forget the company’s name. While I thoroughly appreciate their generosity, I re-gifted it and send it off to the other board figuring they could use it to cut down the friction during their next circle meeting.
Yesterday had a few of my fav livestreams. The guy selling the $18 plastic graters and trays is clearly going to make it on livestream. The bourbon livestream was an absolute blast. The injection specialist who was selling lip gloss, while not the best presenter, I totally connected with. While I don’t have lip injections or need lip gloss for them, I loved that her daughter and parents were in the chat power rooting for her, and her patient she had on set with her was crying when she was telling everyone how much she loved her. Classic case of someone not needing or wanting the product before watching, but someone really wanted to buy it after watching the livestream.
