Gods you would not believe the awful drive home.  We finally had to get off the interstate in MO because visability was so low.  First hotel we went to was, ummm, I would not have believe such an icky place existed.  Then when I asked for separate rooms, the leering look the creep behind the counter gave me.  Just because I am traveling with a guy doesn't mean .....

I shall tell no more jokes about slumming it at a Super 8 -- because happily there was a Super 8 just down the road.   We couldn't see it because it was snowing so hard.  It was the most beautiful sight I had ever seen!  I was tempted to get kiss the lobby floor!  SAVED!   The room was great, the breakfast was great.

So if anyone is coming from the Chicago area, maybe we could drive down together.  Lot cheaper than flying and no hassle.
