When the hell did “ripped jeans” get renamed to “distressed jeans”, and get a boutique price tag of $495?
Yes yes, I know I know, ripped jeans have been a thing for some time. But “distressed”? Come on! That’s pure marketing genius! Take an existing worn out, fully depreciated product, rebrand it, learn how to simulate old ripped jeans with new old jeans, and slap a hefty price tag on it. To me, that goes down in history along with the Dixie cup, the pet rock, and beanie babies as pure, marketing hall of fame, ingenuity.
But in all seriousness, beautiful eve for good ole Verb. If one can’t Verb just “went to 11” after watching a few of the livestreams, you probably can’t see the ingenuity in distressed jeans.
