”After two years of correspondence with the Florida Bureau of Archaeological Research, we are pleased to release to the public what we have discovered on what we call the ‘Ring Site.’ We bring you this footage, taken on a rare day of visibility, that reflects an important partial shipwreck discovery. This newly discovered wreck is significant enough that it has become part of the Florida Master Site File and has added to our understanding of early Florida shipwrecks. In line with this partial shipwreck we have discovered a debris trail that goes out to sea.”

After months of scanning with the #SeaSearcher, research, and preparation we were finally able to dive on the Melbourne Beach Ring Site and were amazed by the sheer amount of artifacts discovered! Further diagnostics on some of these artifacts point to a late 1700s to mid 1800s shipwreck. This site is now listed as a newly discovered historic shipwreck site in the Florida Master Site File system, courtesy of #SeafarerExploration.
