Pembroke Pines, FL, June 16, 2022, Wialan Technologies, Inc. (OTC “WLAN”) announces the appointment of Alan Bailey to the Board of Directors and as Chief financial Officer and the appointment of Fernando Scazzi to the Board of Directors and as Chief Technical Officer. Alan and Fernando now join existing Board members Victor Tapia, President and Reggie Bergeron, Company Secretary and Senior Vice President of Operations.
Alan Bailey has extensive experience working in a senior role with a variety of publicly traded corporations in accounting, finance, mergers and acquisitions. Until 2009, Alan served for more than 30 years as Senior Vice President and Treasurer of Paramount Pictures. In that capacity, he was responsible for global cash management, internal audit and compliance, film financing and cash planning.
Fernando Scazzi has some 20 years of experience in various roles in the production of aircraft parts with Rockwell Collins (Formerly B/E Aerospace). He has worked with the Company as a consultant helping the design and manufacture of Wialan’s access points and latest products. He has extensive knowledge in materials and production processes, such as manual and automated machining, sheet metal, composites (thermoforming), CNC and the final assembly of complex electro mechanical systems.
The Company was greatly saddened by the passing of Eduardo Garcia, the Company’s former CEO and Director on April 7, 2022, from his battle with cancer. Our condolences are extended to his family and friends. Reggie Bergeron has assumed the role of CEO, pro term, until a suitable replacement is found. The Company is presently conducting a search of potential candidates for the position of CEO. Such candidates must possess an extensive knowledge and experience, at a senior level, of cellular connectivity, operations and related business, and be prepared to work with the new team of Company Directors in the development and launch of a new, patented, streetlight retrofit product to host micro cellular devices to off load traffic from main cellular towers (in other words, a local cellular tower in a light pole), as well as working to launch additional new communications processes and products planned for later this year. (Any applicants for the position of replacement CEO should contact Victor Tapia at the contact information provided below.)
